Best Buy
What a Best Buy task does, how invites work, and what to set up beforehand.
Invites
Best Buy sells high-demand products by invitation. The product page shows Ask for an invite instead of Add to cart. Anyone can ask; Best Buy picks who gets one, and the winners get a window to buy.
A Best Buy task handles that for you:
- Signs in to the account and warms the session up.
- Asks for the invite. The row goes Waiting For Invite → Requesting Invite → Invite Requested.
- Watches for the answer. When it arrives, Invited, and the task buys when the window opens.
Leave the task running between those steps; it doesn't need you.
Before the drop
- The task takes the product link, or just the SKU (the number in the link, like
6606082). - Save the card on bestbuy.com. The task reads the account's saved cards live; if none matches the profile, the row shows Check Billing. Use Update billing/shipping on the account row in Accounts, then start again.
- Link the account's inbox. Best Buy emails about invites; Check Email on the row means there's something in your inbox to act on.
A normal run
Starting → Signing In → Signed In → Waiting For Invite → Requesting Invite → Invite Requested → Invited → Adding To Cart → Carted → Checking Out → Submitting Order → Success.
Where Best Buy interrupts
- Sign-in code. With an inbox linked the task reads it (Waiting For Code). Otherwise type it in the window.
- Check Email / Check Billing. See above.
- Action Needed. Any check Best Buy wants a human for. Do it in the window the task raised.
If it didn't work
- Invite Requested for days: that's Best Buy. Not everyone gets one.
- Check Billing keeps coming back: the card on bestbuy.com doesn't match the profile's card. Update one or the other.
- Still stuck? Open a ticket on Discord with the log.
