Target

What a Target task does on a drop night, where Target interrupts it, and the one thing to check beforehand.

Before the drop

• Sign in to the account once with Open browser on its row in Accounts, so the profile's address and card are saved on target.com. Update billing/shipping does that for you.
• If the task runs on a proxy, start harvesters shortly before the drop.
• Run the task on an in-stock item once (Your first run).

A normal run

Starting → Signing In → Signed In → Waiting For Restock → Adding To Cart → Carted → Checking Out → Submitting Order → Success.

• The task always chooses Shipping, never pickup or delivery.
• Quantity is what you set in the task, capped by Target's own per-item limit; the task steps down to the limit by itself.
• On Place order the task retries through Target's "something went wrong" errors and a refused submit for a short window before giving up with Checkout Failed.

Where Target interrupts

• Press and hold. Target shows a button you must hold for a few seconds. The row shows Action Needed and the task's window comes to the front. Hold the button until it completes, then leave the window alone. The task carries on.
• Sign-in code. Target emails a code. With an inbox linked the row shows Waiting For Code and reads it. Without one, type the code into the window.
• Target debit card PIN. After Place order, Target asks for the debit PIN. If the profile has one, the task enters it. If not, type it.
• Blocked. Target has decided it doesn't like the address. Change the proxy or rest the home connection for a while.

Modes

• fast is right for Target.
• request adds to cart without the product page, up to the task's ATC Attempts (90 by default). It is quicker under load but needs harvesters' tokens to work. Try it on a test item first.

Third-party sellers

With Allow third-party sellers off (the default), the task only buys when Target itself is the seller, not a Target Plus partner. The row shows the seller it's waiting on. Turn it on only if you want partner listings too.

If it didn't work

• Sign-In Failed on a proxy but fine on your home connection: that proxy address is one Target distrusts. Try another, or sign in once on your home connection and let the task carry on from there.
• Checkout Failed right after Submitting Order: Target's error. Start again; it often goes through on the second try.
